Hi. I used DVD Decrypter to rip a DVD. I used File Mode. Unfortunately, now I cant use AutoGK to convert the movie to an avi. Is there a way I could mount the files to re-decrypt to IFO mode? I get an error when using Auto GK with these files. thank you very much in advance.

Oh, and I don't want to burn the files to a DVD-R and then use DVD Decrypter. :)

Hi. Im trying to backup a DVD. I did back it up using DVD Decrypter but I used file mode. Now I cant compress these files using Auto GK. I would like to know either how to mount these files so that DVD Decrypter can decrypt them again but in IFO mode or how I can compress these vob's using Auto GK (now they give an error). tyvm for your time.

ive never ripped a movie in File mode, only in IFO and ISO mode.
What kin dof file extension does it give you? If its a .VOB it should work with winavi.

Hi both of you. Thanks for replying.

Piecefull: I get IFO's and VOB's, but I dont want to use winavi. I would like to use AutoGK. I heard it's the best, and my movies are kinda classics and I wanted them to be in the best quality possible. Could you help me out with that in mind?
rdmercer1: I would like to convert a DVD to AVI because of the size issue. I have hundreds of movies, and you could do the math if I wanted to keep them uncompressed on my HD's. Its just not possible. If I convert to AVI, and loose the menus and extras, compressing the movies to say 75% using Auto GK, I probably wouldnt notice the difference and I could keep a lot of them on my HD. This way I can access them all with my xbox :)

tyvm again.

I think youll have to burn it again, and if you wanted best possible quality just keep it as a dvd man.
