Will DVD shrink automatically adjust for DL conversion or is it just set to 4.7 disks?

If you open DVD Shrink, go in EDIT->Preferences and under target DVD size, you have the option to select DVD-9(8.5GB)

Then, I assume, Nero takes care of the DL burning process correctly?

Can't help you there. 98% of the time I backup "Movie Only", never burned a DL disc. But if Nero works properly, it should do the job. So should DVD Decrypter.

If you are doing dual layer backup do not use Shrink, it does not work well for this type of backup. Use DVD Decrypter in iso read and then write mode. Or rip the movie in iso mode and use ImgBurn both programs do a good job at the layer break. I and others have had problems using Nero for dual layer backups.

If burning to DL media, I believe it's best to have shrink create an ISO image and autoburn to disk using DVDdecrypter. DVDdecrypter or ImgBurn are better at burning to DL disks than Nero (my opinion).
When backing up in shrink choose to save target as "ISO image file and burn with DVD decrypter", decrypter will automatically launch when the files are ready to be burned to disk, you will be prompted for media, just insert the blank and go.

AnyDVD will run behind Decrypter, make sure you interface is SPTI and it will work. I use it all the time.

Where do I go to set the interface? Sorry, these probably sound like stupid questions.

Just to add to arniebear response.
To use DVDDecrypter with AnyDVD set I/O Mode to SPTI or ElbyCDIO.
Set CSS Cracking method to none. Disable checking for structure
protection.
