Magic Swap, Cheat devices and Japanese games... a dilemma...

Hey all,
I have a small problem using cheat devices with Japanese games.

The codes are good and all when I enter it and enable them... but there are no changes in-game!! Whatever cheat device I use (CB, GS, ARMAX, XP4(japanese) it doesn't work at all!!!

I heard it was a problem related to swap magic. But I'm not sure so that's why I'm posting it here.

I use a NTSC-U/C v9(or 10 not sure) ps2 with Magic Swap v2.0.

It is probably because of different format's don't work together. EX. Japenese doesn't work with american.
