Ok, I am not thinking about PS2 right now, I am thinking about the emulator -PCSX2. I have bios to it. Can you download PS2 games and play them on the emulator or -.-" yeah emulator is same as PS2 so it won't work unless I have something to boot from.
Then another question, you've gotta buy the swap magic or any other booting things, you cannot download or yeah you know, probably not. And 1 more thing, for people who actually used emulator to play their PS2 games, ok you insert the game and in emulator you press "load" or "execute" but which file do you execute? There are so many weird files in the game, how do you play them?

1). I think with Emulators it plays anything Downloaded or orginal

2). Yes you have to have a original Swap Magic to play backups on a PS2

3). I think you execute the CD drive the game is in or the .ISO file of the game. If non of those I could be the SLUS/SCUS/SLES/SLPS which highly unlikley

I don't get it. I tried to launch the game again, but I didn't find the right file to boot. I don't think there are any ISO files in the dvd. The game is "Burnout revenge". All I see is tracks, io..., network, modules and etc. Which file do I execute? Btw I didn't I understand what you said, was it "you can boot backups with the emulator without swap magic" or was it "no you need swap magic even to play games on the emulator" PLEASE HELP!

Ok do you have the orignal game or a backup of the game? If you do then pop it in your DVD drive and use DVD Decrypter to make an .ISO file of the game. If you don't then I can lead you thru putting the files into an .ISO image

Sorry, I got an original copy of PS2 game. How do you make an ISO out of using DVD Decrypter? And umm to make a back - up copy you: use DVD Decrypter to read then write using ISO right? Thanks. Ok

DVD Decrypter--->Mode--->ISO---->Read
File---->Browse to put in location----->Write

You got your self an .ISO you can now select that for the Emu or burn the .ISO to a CD/DVD

So you are basically making a copy of a game that can be played without swap magic on emulator or with swap magic on PS2, right?

If It's correct, then I will rent games, play them on my PS2 until the last day when I will burn it and play it on the emulator without purchasing swap magic ^^. 1 question though. If I download a PS2 game from internet (BitTorrent and etc.) and I don not have a dvd drive but have emulator, I still cannot play the game right? So to play this downloaded game you'll need to: have dvd driver, then burn the downloaded file through .ISO to dvd and play it on the emulator? Am I correct?

Here's the thing though, the emulators out there are still SUPER SLLLOOOOOOooooowww compared to native PS2 system. If you play emulated, you also find compatbility problems w/the majority of games. Like crashing, textures not displaying right, etc. btw, make sure you have a high end graphics card (which will prob set you back $150 easy) and 1GB RAM minimum. And dedicate your cpu to the emulator, as it eats up clock cycles like Anna Nicole Smith @Weight Watchers smorgasboard.

GET a friggin PS2 and enjoy the game the way it SHOULD be played. Check the links in my sig on how to use dvd decryptor if u need it.

if you're a college student, do NOT settle with the RIAA http://tinyurl.com/37oz2z
