was wondering if anyone is getting the same probs as me when backing up a movie.

system specs:
sapphire crossfire advanced mobo/ath 64 x2 4200/x850 xt/ 2 gig corsair twin x pro/ 2 maxtor 120 gig sata hard drives -stripe 0/ plextor px-716a /plextor px-708a dvd burners/audigy 2 zs/ linksys wireless adapter wmp54g v4/antec 500 watt psu
windows xp pro sp2

ive made over 300 successfull backups with the same burner but on a socket 478 motherboard. and the dvd drive is not going out because i can put it back on another computer and make perfect copies using the same 3 programs.

im using the newest versions of any dvd , dvd shrink & dvd decryptor. and after burning the disc's the movie is on the disc but with screen corruptions, making the movie unviewable from start to finish.
was thinking it had something to do with the chipset but not exactly sure.

everything else runs perfectly smooth!

any suggestions?

When you say corruptions are you talking about freezing, pausing, pixellation and artifacts? Try burning at a lower speed, don't apply adhesive labels and if applying high amounts of compression use the deep analysis and AEC controls in DVD Shrink.

And what kind of media are you using? Could it be the player?

pixellation and artifacts is what im getting, i tried lowering my burn speed and compressed it to 3200 with deep analysis and aec and still the same thing.

im using verbatims and what puzzles me is that when i take the burner out of my computer and put it in my wifes pc i get perfect backups using the same media and same 3 programs.

since the radeon xpress chipset is farely new i was thinking it was a motherboard or bios issue that had to be worked out.

i did post in sapphires website about my issue and one guy reccommended using any dvd and clone dvd, since it worked fine for him using a similar set up as me.

any input on this would be greatly appreciated!
