Start with the basics and assuming the ram you installed is the correct type ?? or the same type as that is already installed,Do a spyware scan and virus scan, clean your cache, delete all that is inside the prefetch folder (DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDER ONLY THE CONTENTS, use the search and choose :C drive),disable hybernate function by unticking, defrag the hdd, restart
(Renable hynbernate if you wish as it can't be properly defragged with it enabled)

Assuming above does'nt work you will need to undo the hardware changes you made either one by one and then seeing if there's a diff or the best way remove power cables only to the new drives and remove ram, delete any software that was installed then turn off comp install new ram and restart, by rights the new ram should not be a prob and if comp works fine turn off and reconnect 1 pwr cable to one drive and restart, install software if any ,if comp ok turn off again and reconnect last power cable and restart install software, by rights after restart of either of those installs the prob should arise assuming it's not to do with a fragmented hdd and assuming you have a 7000rpm hdd and not a 5400rpm hdd as with a small drive the more on it the slower it will become

If your comfortable with registry cleaners http://www.ccleaner.com/ it's free and works well tho you have to becarefull what you delete in the registry scan section tho there is a backup option, all i use it for is web cache and removing old software entries that i have uninstalled anything that i don't recognise is left alone another real easy to use system cleaner is from ToniArts called easycleaner which is more suitable if your not comfortable playing with cleaners again it's free and no spyware etc, so get googling :D
