What move are you doing it sounds like a protection problem, Shrink cannot do newer protected movies by itself. Try ripping to your HDD first using the free DVDFab Decrypter available here.

After you use DVD Fab, you will need to use a program called "VOB Blanker" and then everything will work fine with DVD Shrink.
"ARccOS? is the first and only available digital and dynamic DVD-Video copy control which effectively prevents unauthorized DVD copying on PC. ?Our customers are pleased to finally have found a copy control solution for DVD-Video that protects their content successfully."

@bruceg, No need to combine programs initially as mentioned. For "Invalid Navigation Structure" when using VOB BLANKER version 2.0.1.1 this version will make the corrections by itself you just need to create a folder and title it on your C:Drive and select process. The latest version of AnyDVD 5.9.1.1 now shares this ability then wait a few minutes while it works mojo. Once VOB BLANKER creates a folder take your pick of the many burning engines i.e. Nero DVD Decrypter DVDFab etc. Oh and good blank disc for reliable playback i.e. Verbatim or SONY (MIT)or otherwise. Avoid CMC disc like Memorex and most if not all house brands.

Here's 2 FREE methods for Newbies only or those that needed and I GUARANTEE that you'll be able to successfully rip and backup any dvds/movies if done right. I've primarily used these 2 methods for ripping and backing up movies and I've never experienced any issues whatsoever.
No AnyDVD, no DVD43, no DVDIdle Pro, no DVD Region+CSS Free, no misery, no black screens, no glitches, no dummy cells, no chapters jumping, etc.
- tools needed; all tools are FREE (excluding Nero Recode 2)
<> DVDFAB Decrypter
<> VobBlanker
<> DVD Decrypter
<> PgcEdit + PSL plugins + FixVTS
<> DVD Shrink
<> Nero Recode 2 (not necessary needed, if you're going the FREE route)
<><> method 1 **use Alkohol's DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker 2.1.0.0** <><>
<> rip the movie with the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter
<> PROCESS your VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker (only 10 - 12 minutes)
<> import/load your newly created VIDEO_TS file into DVD Shrink (or Nero Recode 2, your choice) and transcode as normal
<> burn your final VIDEO_TS or ISO image file at your desire burning engines, such as Nero Burning Rom, Nero Express, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, etc.
<><> method 2 **DVD Decrypter + PgcEdit + PSL plugins + FixVTS** <><>
<> rip the movie with PgcEdit using PSL plugins through DVD Decrypter
<> process craps, junks with FixVTS via the Wizard
<> transcode the VIDEO_TS file with DVD Shrink or Nero Recode 2 (your choice) as normal
<> burn your final VIDEO_TS or ISO image at your desire burning engines, such as Nero Burning Rom, Nero Express, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, etc.
For more info on how to use VobBlanker http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/234 -- and how to use PgcEdit + PSL plugin + FixVTS http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/271
Or check on those 2 bold links under my sig.
Best of lucks to all and happy burning!!! Remember, all tools are FREE, except Nero.

I had the same problem start to pop up last weekend. Last night I downloaded the newest DVDFAB, used it then ran the movie thru DVD Shrink then onto burning. Worked perfectly.
