can any one give me a step by step how to back up this old movie i keep getting cyclic error thanks

You can try running it through VOB Blanker, and if that doesn't work it could be too scratched up, or a bad copy...

Try ripping first to your HDD with DVDFab Decrypter if you get the same errors it is as stated by XxRUINxX probably a scratched of dirty disk, try cleaning it or return it for another original. You can get DVDFab Decrypter here
