Thanks in advance to anyone who can possibly help me out with this!!!

My problem is that I'm trying to burn 4 episodes of the OC onto one 4.7GB DVD+R disk. Each episode is approximately 350 MB. I tried to do this with my Nero 6, but it says that there is not enough room on the disk. SO, I've tried shrinking the files to approx. 150 MB each with Ashampoo Movie Shrink, but the files are still coming up as approx. 2.5 GB each when I open them with Nero.

Basically, what I'm dying to know is: How do I shrink each episode to about 1 GB each so that I can fit about 4 episodes onto one DVD+R disk?

The files are .avi, if that makes any difference ...

Again, big thanks to anyone who can help me with this.

Nevermind, I just downloaded it. I'll post the answers to your questions asap.

Is DVD9 -- which I'm assuming are DVD+R disks that can hold more than the standard 4.7GB -- necessary, or is there just not a way for me to be able to shrink these video files?

The compression type is Xvid

And though I've used GSpot, I'm not sure what the sound format or the resolution type is but under audio it says:

0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3
48000Hz 131 kb/s total (2 chnls) LAME3.95

Thanks again.

dvd 9 disc hold 8.5 gb of data but your burner must support it
how long is each episode you may be better off using two disks
to get all on one 4.7 dvd would require a big drop in quality
