Downloaded newest version (Feb.12th) to install later on . When I did a Spyware scan of my system, Fab Decrypter folder was said to contain spyware called Buddy Spy 2.2. First time I've had a problem with Fab spitting out as containing any spyware. Anyone ever see this fella' Buddy Spy before?

Well i have never really heard/looked into the Buddy Spy program. But i can tell you one thing DVDFab Decrypter is 100% legitimate and totally safe. Just make sure you download it here at afterdawn or at the companys site. but about that spyware id just google something like Buddy Spy + definition.

There was a thread on the DVDFAB forum about this problem. It seems to only happen when using Norton. At least that was the conscience at the time. Are you using Norton?
There is NOT a virus in DVDFAB software.

After checking downloads three different times from DVDIdle, my antispyware keeps telling me there is a Buddy Spy in each one. I've run the Microsuck spyware, Ad-Aware and Spy-bot and none of these spit up any problems. My main anti-virus / spyware program is one provided by my ISP (NOT NORTON thank goodness) and has on numerous runs spit up false positives. I believe they're using Pest Patrol. I've been running FabDecrypter now through numerous updates and this is the FIRST time anything like this has popped up. I've checked on Buddy Spy, and it's a program you can use to track what other Yahoo Messenger users are doing. It was developed by "unsakred". Don't know where that Yahoo connection comes in, but I can remember some time back Fab was using some tool to create his program that was causing problems but he fixed that quickly. Got me wondering....
