Hi, I'm trying to burn a DVD using re-author. Sometimes there are more than one title file under the Main Movie. I'm wondering why there are more than one file for the main movie. And if each title is a different version of the movie? For instance,"Fever Pitch" has Title 1 and Title 2. When both are added to be burned, it seems that they are too large to fit on the DVD. Is there a way to compress them? What should I do? Thanks!
Sometimes the original dvds that have multiple main movies:
Wide screen and Full Screen versions
Different angles
Alternate endings/different versions
When I encounter this,I drag the top main movie over and look at it through dvd shrink's view screen. You can see if it is full screen or wide screen. Then click the red x/and drag the other main movie over and view it.
I only did 1 main movie on that movie and a perfect backup.
You could also run them through DVD Shrink twice. It'll be a lower quality picture, but if you need both those main movies-worth a shot.
Wait till you backup some riske~ adult movies. There'll be 6-8 main movies on them!
saugmon, I was hoping that the only difference was widescreen versus full screen but it looks like both were widescreen. Maybe the ending is just a little different. I'm assuming that the first main title would be the one they would show in the movies. So I'll do it that way. Thanks!
radiodude, I would've done it that way as well but I wanted to eliminate all the previews and trailers on the dvd. And by doing what you did, it doesn't seem like there is an option to take those out. The only thing you can do is take out the audio and subpicts(subtitles). So I figure re-authoring to just have the movie itself is better worth it for me. That is.. if I'm right on my assumptions! Thanks!
