I bought South Park Season 6 a while back. I recently lost and then found one of the DVD's (1 of 3). I decided it would be a good idea to back up these three disk, so that I wouldn't loose it again. However, I don't want to use 3 DVD disk if I can put them all on one disk.

my question:
Is there a way to put all three DVD's onto one DVD? Each disk is about 6.7 GB and i can only put them down to around 2.2 GB each on DVD Shrink 3.2. Is there something I can do to shrink them down to around 1.5 GB each, also, at 1.5 GB how bad will the sound and video be? I mean, it's only a cartoon, right? Do I need any other programs besides Shrink 3.2 and Nero? Also, if I did put three DVD's onto 1, is there a way to create a epsiode select screen or something so that I could access different episodes from one screen (that make sense?)? Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanx.

You can rip them into 3 different files then compress them togother with DVD Shrink, but you will have alot of video quality loss trying to get 18 gigs onto one disc

It is possible, if u dont mind a bit of quality loss, instead of compressing all 3 discs to one in DVD Shrink, try this, rip the discs to ur hdd using dvd shrinks reauthor mode, just rip out the episodes and nothing else, then convert each one too a VCD (mpeg1) once all that is done use tmpge's dvd author to convert all the mpegs to a dvd and also create a menu if u wish.

The process is real simple actually,

1. Open your disc in dvd shrink then once it has analyzed everything select the reauthor mode, since u are doing a episodic dvd there will be several files on the right hand side of the screen, from here find the episodes that u wish to rip to ur hdd, once u find them drag and drop them too your compilation on the left side of the screen.

2. This part can be time consuming since u will have too convert each episode 1 by 1 to vcd. this guide here will explain the process
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2vcd_with_smart_dvd2av...

3. Now its time to take all the mpegs that u have created and load them into tmpge dvd author
open tmpge then select new project, from here u can add each of ur mpeg files into ur compilation, just click add file and browse for ur mpegs, select the files u wish to add, (apon adding a new file u will see a clip info screen just click ok at the bottom) Just watch the meter at the bottom of the screen in tmpge dvd author once it fills up goto the top of the screen and select create menu and if u dont want a menu just select output, then simply select were u want ur created dvd to be saved too. (if u are processing several mpegs at one time this process can take quite some time also). just remember each mpeg file u make has to be vcd compliant or else dvd author wont accept the file.

Hope this helps ya out :)
