Hi
my sound has stopped working on my pc, i can used media player and watch dvds fine, but start up / shut down sounds dont work, i cant test the sounds via control panel, they are there but it wont allow me to test them. I also cannot play sound via acoustica audio mixer - it comes up with another application is playing - but nothing is. I have recently installed stylexp, not sure if that will do anything, but i shut it down an still not working... any ideas??????

uninstall your audio driver then reinstall it.
failing that try a system restore to a point when it was working normally

Start > all programs > accesories > system tools > system restore ;P
