I have been able to copy and burn discs great with DVD Shrink up to this point. But now I am having an issue when burning a DVD through the Nero plug-in, where the progress towards the end of the burn will go from 100% completed and then start back to 1% for a couple seconds and then say it is finished burning. The DVD will play fine in my computer but now won't play in standalone DVD players. I used different types of media to check, but got the same problem. Also, I have always burned at 16X, but this never caused a problem before so I don't think this is to blame now. If anyone knows why the burning process would do the wierd thing at the end I would appreciate it. P.S. I'm not sure how to post a log of the burn so please someone send me instructions if this will help, and thank you for taking the time to view this.

hi
nero goes back to 1% when it starts writing the lead out, this is nothing to worry about, some dvd players do not like cetain media brands. have you changed brands lately?
what brands have you tried?

i know that you say burning at 16X has never given problems but try burning slower to see if this will resolve the problems.
also ensure that your firmware is up to date.

if it will play on your pc but not on the dvd player i would say it is probably a media issue.

i dont know how to get a log of a burn , i know if the burn fails it will give you the option to view a log , but unsure how to get one for a successful burn

Please remove your serial#, we wouldn't want any nasty pirates getting ahold of it now would we. It is at the top of your log and begins with 1C83.

I have a feeling that your problem may be caused by a combination of two things.

1) Nero7 version 7.0.5.4 was very buggy for me and caused to many problem to describe, uninstall this version and install version 7.0.1.4b instead. It's very stable and works like a charm.

Use the uninstall tool to get rid of version 7.0.5.4 found here:
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html

Get version 7.0.1.4b here:
http://httpdl6.us.nero.com/software/nero7/Nero-7.0.1.4b_eng_no_yt.exe

2) You're burning too fast, slow down to 4x and go no greater than 8x.
