Hi! I have just come to the realization that much of my precious memories - photos, digital video, etc.. are burned on cheap media - TEON DVD-R 8X And MEMOREX 52X CD-R's. After reading your forums, I have found that the way to go is Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Maxwell - said by a few to be the best 3. WELL - Would I be producing quality media by re-burning these pictures and video to the better media? Would it be the same as if I had originally used the better media? I just want to save these disks for as long as possible - I have recorded over many of the Digital Video Tapes since burning them to the DVD's. AM I STILL SAFE??? THANKS!!!

Memorex 52X CD-Rs are about as good as anyone else's. Why would you want to copy them over?

Maxwell is the first part of the name of a famous coffemaker but ... Maxell is the DVD/CD manufacturer and marketer ... and some of their made in Taiwan discs are made by Ritek which is pretty good and not necessary to avoid
