Hi everyone. I am having a strange issue. When my screen saver turns on recently, I can hear the computer get extraordinarily active. It goes on and on like that until I move the mouse and it all stops again. It started after I uninstalled avast in order to upgrade to a demo of avast professional. After it started I uninstalled the demo to see if that would help, but it's still happening. What on earth could it be? I am not having any other issues. I would highly appreciate an answer.

Well have u done a virus scan to ruke that out.

Have u tried just changing the screensaver to another one on the list and c if that gets rid of the problem...

Thanks for the response. I had changed the screensaver and the problem seemed to continue, but out of the blue it has stopped and I hope never to come back. I had also done a virus scan and it found nothing, even in safe mode. All is well once again. Thank you Afterdawn.
