Ok, I was doing a search yesterday (here) and noticed someone mentioning be able to use there ipod as a hard drive for there psp. Being that I have a 3rd generation 40 gig ipod with the battery life of a half time show, this would bring new life to my dying ipod. Can anyone give me any insight? Tried google but didnt get any help.

I wish I could remember the person that mentioned it in a thread. He mentioned using some sort of media reader and using his ipod as a hard drive. I sent him a private im, didn't hear anything back. I can't find the message or thread. I was looking to add more memory to my psp and was considering going with the 4 gig max pack. But using the ipod as an hd seemed like a better move.

Did a little research and I think I'll be purchasing either the Apacer Share Steno CD311 with 40GB Notebook External Hard Drive, or the fotochute. Seems like a much better value then Datel 4 gb expansion. Anyone try either of these?

i cant comment on that:

not only is it utterly pointless

No it doesnt actually run the games of the harddrive you have to transfer then your psp memory card for it to work.
so whats the point.

also are you sure about this

we are lead to believ the psp wont read anything over 4gb?
