Sorry if this thread doesnt fit here I looked for awhile for the right forum and couldnt find one. So here it goes. For christmas I received a liteon dvd-/+rw burner. Installed dvdshrink and dvd decrypter. Everything worked fine til last night. Dvdshrink works just fine rips it to the harddrive and then dvd decrypter starts to burn and it errors out saying it cannot write the medium because of incompatible format. So I try bout three different movies bout three or four times each and same thing.

Then I try a new program I have called one-click and it errors out on a bunch of movies and then I try to copy a already burnt movie using nero and it says the same thing that it cant write cause its incompatible.

Can anyone help me?

Make sure you firmware is current for your drive through the firmware search feature in DVD Decrypter. What brand and format discs are you using?

Im using verbatim advanced azo DVD-R. I have burned hundreds of dvds and games using this format and burner. I cant find what you are talking about the firmware seach. but if it helps I noticed that when it starts to write the dvd the sectors go up from thirty some to numbering in the thousands. I dont think it did that before. I think the sectors stayed there but now they jump up and it it quickly stops burning.

Enter a search for you drive and find the current firmware version for it. You aren't getting a power calibration error by any chance are you?

hasnt said anything bout power calibration. I installed the new firmware and rebooted and tryed to burn again and no dice same thing said incompatible format. So I tryed again and this time it said it had a error in the command sequence even before it tryed to burn. I mean what could be going wrong? Oh yeah and am I supposed to be in ata mode I know you guys said something bout modes being wrong sometimes.

Now when I try to burn using oneclick it says that the burner is idle and I should pick another destination. Oh DVD Decrypter says its in moden one is that what it should be on?
