Quote: Firmware 2.00 installation :
----------------------------
You will need firmware 2.00 in files format, use psardump to obtain it or my firmware launcher and use the function to install a firmware.
Once that you have the files, create the mphgameloader folder has the root of your memory stick and copy flash0 (kd, vsh...) and flash1 folders inside.
and then when i go to use psardump to get the files, it says,
Quote: Find an EBOOT.PBP for the system update you want to decode.
They are available on the web.
This version is recommended for decrypting the 2.0 update.
NOTE: if you can't find them, you probably shouldn't be using this tool.
Do not copy the update EBOOT.PBP to the PSP!!!
Instead extract the components using "unpack-pbp" or other similar tool.
You want the PSAR file, usually called "UNKNOWN.PSAR" or "DATA.PSAR"
NOTE: if you have never used 'unpack-pbp' or a similar tool before,
you probably shouldn't be using this tool.
Copy the PSAR file you want dumped to \DATA.PSAR on the memory stick
this is nuts... and now after all kinds of ish...i have no flash0 or flash1 folders... arg...

okay guys hers the real info and yes the program is free!
This is big day for 1.5 firmware users. MPH has just released their new Game Loader Version 1.0.0, which is capable of launching GTA and other 2.0+ requiring games on firmware 1.5. Only catch is you need to also have an ISO copy of the game in order for it to work. Meaning you must have a retail UMD, and download the ISO, so it is not at this point a direct UMD loader just yet. The legality of obtaining ISOs for copies of games you own is pretty 'grey' at this point, as an ISO is an ISO, and downloading one is technically illegal, so we will not provide any information as to how to acquire one. But this is still a great job, we have confirmed that it works, and it has been tested by us.
The currently released version is supposedly a 'demo' version of the loader, and after 10 minutes of gameplay, the program will abort. MPH claims to have done this to encourage users to go ahead and donate to their team/click their ads. A full version of the loader will be released sometime next week. Remember to check out their site for more information/donations!
Download MPH Game Loader Version 1.0.0 from PSP 3D
Thanks to psp3d

1) faster load times
2) less wear on the umd laser
3) don't have to upgrade and downgrade over and over

Ok I have no clue where to start. I have an iso, but no disc because the thing was ejected upside down and broke in half but I saved the iso for a day like this. Where do I start, what do I need, I have no clue how people are getting this to work.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

man.. if you knew what ive went through the last 4 hours trying to get this up and running (if only for 10 minutes)...
had to download:
2.0 firmware, fileassistant (didnt need), firmware launcher, firmware processor, pbp unpacker, psardump, ... couple others... really frustrating.. i would make a package and write a PROPER tutorial, if this works for me.

had it almost working once.. froze 80% into loading from my save game... trying again now.. in the middle of making the ISO again, transfer to psp again.. testing again... if this doesnt work, then i dont know...
my "flash1" folder is empty except for the directories i made... when i dumped the EBOOT firmware file, the "readme" says
---------------------
flash1:/dic (0 bytes)
flash1:/net (0 bytes)
flash1:/net/http (0 bytes)
flash1:/registry (0 bytes)
flash1:/vsh (0 bytes)
flash1:/vsh/theme (0 bytes)
-------------
108 data files saved
0 errors
---------------------
so maybe theres not supposed to be anything in them?
ill post back as soon as i know
