Ive just got the latest version off here for DVD Shrink and i already had Nero 6 loaded.
My writer is a new LG External writer model LG 4167 and the Nero is version 6.6.14
After using Shrink and encoding it ejects the disc(movie) and asks for a disc to burn to, ive put in a new Verbatim DVD +RW and it hangs and just keeps saying "checking disc" with the green progress bar going left to right but nothing else.
Any ideas why it wont move on and get burning ??

Apparently the latest version of Nero 6.6.14 has a problem when used with DVD Shrink.
Go back to Nero 6.6.018 and you should have no more problems.
Nero seem to have lost the plot lately. LOL

Do i un-install my current Nero first, if so do i use the Nero tool for that ??
Or can i just download the older version over the top of the new version?

MARTY,
You need to uninstall Nero completely and then go to Nero's site and D/L NeroCleantools and then use that to clean out any remnants. Then re-boot and now install Nero 6.6.0.18

Thanks i have now got the Nero clean tool and will try loading the other older version of Nero.
Is it better to load DVD Shrink first then Nero or the other way round ??
Also how long as a rough guide to burn a 2hr movie to a DVD-R 30 mins, 1 hr, 2hrs etc

Nero first, then DVD Shrink.
Edit: Actually I don't think it matters with Nero since you have to enable burning with Nero in DVD Shrink, but if you were using DVD Decrypter, you'd want to install DVD Shrink last.

MARTY,
To burn a DVD-5 at 2X is about 25-28 minutes- at 4X -14-15 minutes, at 8x-7-8 minutes
