The Company has acquired certain "fingerprint technology" which allows them to identify each Company product. This allows the Company to easily identify whether or not any Company product has been illegally copied.
Should the Company produce evidence showing that there has been a reproduction made of the Company product and the identity of the consumer is verified, then the counterfeit copy of the Company product is subject to immediate confiscation, destruction, and the consumer agrees to pay a fine of $500.00 per reproduction.
(is this possible) from a online dvd rental site

The company can put a watermark on the DVD and when copied it will show up but as long as you do not sell DVD's then do not worry. Who is making this claim?

sillycybe,
After searching the net I found this site. Never heard of them but the info chad999 posted is there. Look at the 4th paragraph.
I am just not going to worry about it as I do no business w/ this group. If you pay those prices for rentals then BlockBuster and Netflix really are cheap but I prefer to buy mine. LOL

Wow, they must be in Utah, that lot. Amazing how religious fundamentalism is dominating peoples' lives! & we are told we should fear terrorists! I fear these boneheads more than bombers.
