I have backed up many of my dvd's with no problem. Recently
I was going to watch one of these DVD's on my computer and the drive acted like it could not read the disk. I put the disc in my stand alone player and it worked fine. I decided to go back and see if there were others like it and it seemed like half of them would play and the other half would not. I am burning off of original dvd with Shrink and Decryptor, and movies on hard disk with Nero. I have used several different types od DVD-r's but it really seems to be random. Can someone please help me, Thanks Shay

I am using Nexxtech from Circuit City mostly, but I have the same problem out of two or three other brands. The wierd thing is that some of the burnt dvd's wiil play and some won't. I just burned two disk recently and one played on computer and the other did not. I used the same exact method to burn them. I don't think it is the lens because it will read store bought dvd 's and most burnt dvd's perfect just some of the ones I have recorded recently.

chad999,
Have you tried Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden Disks as they are the best and your DVD are close to the bottom. Go into DVDDecrypter and go to Iso> Read and now on the right hand side tell me the Disk ID as that is the real manuf of the disk

That is not the best Blank DVD Media . Try better media and that hopefully will clear up the problem. The low quality DVD media uses various manuf. so the quality can be different from DVD to DVD
