rubbish

That's my personal opinion of TDK media from all the many/many burn logs I have seen. You can get better media for the same price or even cheaper.

These are 16x speed discs so a firmware update on your writer may be in order to be able to handle them.

What is the brand name and model # of your writer?

Try verbatim 16x. Office max has them this week for $15 a 50 pack if there's any left.

That looks to be the latest update. Here's a site you may want to bookmark for future firmware updates:

I no very little about external drives.

What is the exact problem/s on those TDk discs?
Playback issues-after a successful burn?
Burn errors,failed in middle/or end?
Failure during lead-in,so no actual burn took place?

Lots of things can happen to make media look like their junk.We need the exact issues thay you are having so we can narrow it down.
