I'm using Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum to rip DVDs for my iPod.

I have a general question about ripping. I've run into this several times - I'll rip to mpeg-4 and the audio will be slightly out of sync. I'll try divx to avi instead using the exact same configuration as I did for the mpeg-4 (e.g. video size, video bit rate, frame rate, audio bit rate, sample rate, etc.) and the divx output is flawless.

If I'm using the same config for both, why is the mpeg-4 output out of sync? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
