Avi to DVD using Nero 7 - Audio out of sync? Incorrect disk format?

Hi,
I have 2 problem. 1st is I don't know what Im doing !
No really this is my 1st problem.
I am VERY new to all of this converting. I really like the Smallville season and have started downloading the AVI files and use Nero 7 ultra to convert them to DVD. All has been going fine until recently when after playing the DVD for about 5 mins all the mouth movement goes out of sync like a horrible dubbed film, even though it plays on my pc fine with no probs. Its only just started doing this and I don't know why as I have changed Nothing about the way I convert it!?
2nd Problem is I read that you can convert the avi using a different bit of software and make Video t_s files and then load them into nero 7. I did this and it fixed the out of sync problem but when I play it on my other dvd player it won't play. It just Keeps coming up incorrect disk format?
Can anyone help?

nvve4 or nve3 should work fine. make sure u have vesion7.0.14b when using Nero 7. try playing the video on ur pc first to make sure its not the source thats out of sync, and dont burn at 16x try 8x.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I do check the AVI source file 1st and its ok. Also I burn at x4 speed.
I used a program called Cucusoft to convert my AVI files. It makes a folder called output and in the video_ts there are 6 files. 2x.Bup 2x.IFO and 2x.VOB. But when I go to use Nero 7, I go to Make your own movie, then Add video files, then I go to the fold that contains the Video_ts files and it only shows 2 files, VTS_01VOB and VTS_01_2VOB is that correct? Where have the other 4 files gone I mentioned above? Are they not needed. I am really new to all of this. I used to just do it all through Nero 7 and not need to use Cucusoft, but when it went out of sync I did it with Cucusoft first to get the video Ts files and since doing it this way it sometimes says incorrect disk format? Can someone explain this all to me?

I don't have an answer to your out of sync problem, but to eliminate the confusion you get when burning with Nero, using Nero Burning Rom instead of Nero Vision might help. Here is a guide:

In your case, instead of "Browse to the files that DVD Shrink created" you will browse to the files that Cucusoft created, the Video_TS.

nero vision 3 or 4 is the best way to go for avi files. if u have nero 6.0 make sure u have version 6.6.0.18, and if u have nero ultra 7 u need version 7.0.1.4b. u should have a icon called start smart, if so open it then select photot and video, then select make or modify dvd.after that u should have a nero screen that will let u select make dvd, then dvd video. after that select the file u want to import and the settings u prefer. bby the way make sure u have dvd selected at the top of start smart.

Thanks for all your help. As I said I am a Really new to all of this. All I know is I have Nero 7 Ultra. Where will it tell me what version it is. ( please don't laugh )
