hello....hope you can help me .....

When I get to about 50% in dvd shrink an error message comes up and says failed to read file d;\ data error (cyclic redundancy check)
any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If the disc is in good shape I'd say it's the copy protection on it...a few solutions for this problem, one you could use AnyDVD , or you could use VOB Blanker...If you happen to run into problems after running it through VOB Blanker, or using AnyDVD , it could be bad press...

This mainly means that the disc is damaged or it can be a badly pressed disc.

Try cleaning it and try again otherwise replace the DVD.

True, but I have had some experiences when copy protection has caused that error message...

Thanks everyone

The title of the movie is Shark Tale the kids movie.

I have downloaded AnyDVD but don't know how to work it, what do I do with it now?
Sorry if that sounds stupid but im only new to this

AnyDVD is a driver that runs in the background and will break the encryption. If you have the redfox in your tray it working, if the fox is greyed out then it is not. Shark Tale does not have any special protection on it, sounds more like a dirty disk. Try cleaning it or take it back for another original. Here is a guide
