Is it possible to make a 7 GIG ISO file to DVD?

without using a dual layer disc.

All I have is the 7 gig file, can I shrink it to make it to VOB somehow?

I don't think I can?

Use the File - open disk image function in DVD Shrink - then reauthor and do main movie only to get rid of all unnecessary crap/extras/languages etc.

Easily done - depending on movie - some compression may be required,

As stated by colw, you can use DVD Shrink to compress the ISO and create a new smaller ISO burnable with DVD Decrypter or Imgburn.

It's a fight dvd I need the menu, there's probably 25 grappling matches on there with names listed, is there anyway to do it by keeping it ALL?

I've backed up several PrideFC and UFC DVD with no problems keeping all menus and special features. Rip to HDD first using DVD Decrypter and then compress the files with DVD Shrink. Set your target size in DVD Shrink by going to Edit-Preferences-Preferences tab...in the drop down menu select custom size and input 4300, click backup...in the top drop down menu select ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter.

Here is a more indepth guide: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup%20with%20Decrypter&Shrink.pdf

If you need any of the above mentioned proggy's, you can get them here: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/software.htm

They are all free.

A 7GB can be compressed/transcoded into a single layer 4.7GB DVD+R easily using DVD Shrink with "DA + AEC" if you want the extras and the menu.

However, your best bet would be DVD Rebuilder Pro + CCE SP (this is a top dog and it is likely to beat any transcoder or encoder engines out there). Or if you have Nero Recode 2, then you can keep all the extras and menu, but take out other subtitles & audio and keep the 5.1-Ch English only. You need to "Assign best quality to Main Movie" by going to "MORE, Profiles, Video" and click OK. By doing this, Nero Recode will bump some extra quality to the main movie only. Plus by using "AA + HQSR = Advanced Analysis + High Quality Slow Recording", your backup should be good.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Open DVD Shrink...go to File/Open Disc Image, and browse to your ISO image...viola. Read the guide for the completion, it is really easy.

Then, if you've browsed to the correct location of the ISO...

You can select the MDS file or the ISO file.

gengine ,
What program did you use to make the .iso file? If you used DVDDecrypter there will be 2 files there. The image files and a .mds file. In Shrink you click on the .mds file and it will analyzr and compress the image

"invalid dvd navigation structure"

You can try to mount the ISO on a virtual drive, or unpack the ISO- extract the VOB files an run them through FixVts of VobBlanker. This might fix the "invalid navigation structure".

You can try WinRAR or MagicISO to unpack the ISO. You say you have a virtual drive installed? What is it? I have only used Nero before, but I am sure it is similar for other programs(Daemon Tools, Alcohol120% or whatever). Here are the steps I do with Nero:

If you have a different virtual drive than Nero, the process might be a little different, but you should get the ideea. Now you should be able to browse the files contained by the ISO, by going to "My Computer, right click on the virtual drive and click "Explore".

I will have to try this, can I upgrade my Nero 6 ultra Edition for free?

I do not know a thing about Virtual Drive, so I am not sure what u mean by "what is it".

It came with my PC, I think it might have something to do with Alcohol 120% as see some history in there.

when i click on the virtual drive in my computer it says insert disk.

If it says insert disc that means the virtual drive it is already installed. All you have to do is get to the part where you browse you HDD and mount the image.

Here is a guide on how to use Alcohol 120%:

http://forum2.youceff.com/showthread.php?t=1695

As for upgading nero for free, you mean update? The update I think is free, and you can do it here(I would not get version 6.6.1.14, it has some bugs)

ftp://ftp.us2.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

For an upgrade, which means to get nero 7, I think you have to pay.( in my opinion is not worth if all you do is burning DVD/CD)
