dvd xcopy platinum UPDATE message...

I give up. i need help. i have a legitimate copy of 321 studios xcopy. i have it on two machines. recently, one machine periodicaly has a pop up message when load the program . says the "update" is 4.0.3.8 which it already is. if you attempt to "download it" you get a dos screen with error. (i have both these screenshots, but dont know how to post here) i wiped hard drive clean. and have checked everything. but still occurs-ONLY on one of two machines. how. and why? it appears the program is going out to the internet for this-as if i disconnect network connection, it doesnt happen. however-the other cpu remains connected and has no problems. how can this be? and why does the program direct you to http://www.dvdxcopy.com/ when that site has nothing to do with 321 studios???? please help. the pop up is quite annoying, and i know that it is not a part of the program.

321 Studios has been defunct for sometime ever since they were legally put out of business. Xcopy is now handled by an international company. If you want more info and help then post on the Xcopy forum, plenty of info there

even when blocked in nortons system works 06, and windows firewall. the pop up still appears. what else can you do?

321 studios is not defuncted only in the US. It operates in different countries and on the web and sells other lines of it's software in the us without the ripper.They just modified their name a little that's all.here is there new software http://www.dvdnextcopy.com/index.html DVD neXt Copy.
