can some1 plz help me i cant get internet on my psp

i have highspeed internet cox,my ip adress is 24.56. 1.50

and it keeps saying a connection error has occurred.The attempt to obtain the IP Adress has timed out.

PLZ HELP ME!!!

do you have a wirless router?

Are you Kidding dude!!! the PSP will only go on the internet with a wireless router!!!

My mistake I see your asking if he has a wireless router if "not" that could be the prob. :)

More than likely error obtaining Ip addresses are due to security problems. Check your password &/ settings. Enter those settings into the PSP. Just to make sure you chould disable security for awhile to see if it works.
Some firmwares dont support some security types. eg anything under 2.5 doesnt support WPA-PSK, but it does support WEP, also most psps require WEP to be set to "open key"
