I have been using dvd shrink for sometime now and everything has been fine until last week. When I now try to encode a dvd, the rate speeds up at a decent rate but then falls right back down and shuts down the computer. I have tried clonedvd2 and the same thing has happened, so i know it's something to do with my computer not the programs. I have taken my computer severals places with the most help being that they think i might need more ram. If anyone has had this problem or might know what is wrong please help me.

Have you been deleting the decrypted files after you made the back up?
Most of the time the files are too big for the recycling bin so they just delete from HDD but sometimes they do go to the recycling bin. If you dont get rid of them they tend to eat up the HDD space. You know what I meen?

I checked my recycle bin and there was nothing in it, is there anything else that might be causing it?

right click on my computer and select the manage tab, then goto device manager and click the plus sign next to ide ata/atapi controllers, double click primary and goto advanced settings tab and it should say transfer mode dma if available and current transfer mode ultra dma mode 5 in the device 0 box. if it is not in dma mode switch it
