I would like to back-up my copy of this movie. I have tried every combination of shrink, decrypter, fabdecryter, and vob blanker that I can think of. When I try and shrink the movie it still tells me that it is to big. This is even after running it through vob. It seems the only way to back it up is if I take out all the extra's that I bought the movie for in the first place. Any help would be apreciated

Disc 1
Set your target size to 4400. Untick all audio streams for the main movie except for AC3 5.1-ch English. You can also untick any subtitles you do not wish to use. Use a still image for Unreferenced Material. This should fit on a DVD-5. If you want better compression for the main movie, you can lower the compression on the extras and menus. Choose deep analysis and maximum smoothness for best results.

Disc 2
Set your target size to 4400. Use a still image for Unreferenced Material. I'm assuming you want to keep the main movie (which is 02:38:32), but you'll have to use a still image for Title 7-11,14 under Extras. If not, you'll have to use a DL disc to backup the entire disc. There is no other way around it.

Thanks for the help DakotaFan. I'll have to give that a try. Is it common for movies to be so large that they cannot be shrunk?

I know it's off topic, but a quick question: when was this released? I know the Recut was coming, but is it available everywhere now?

AngelEyz - You're welcome. It very rarely happens, but it does happen sometimes. The Best of American Idol is another great example. That disc is loaded. In order to backup the entire disc, you need DL media.

Mr_Pink - It was released in the US on Tuesday, December 13th. I bought it at Best Buy that day. lol
