On my V1.5 i've used Fast Loader and UMD Emulator, which is better and easy to use. So far "Most" backup ISO's work fine. But i have found some that don't. The reasons for some can be found scattered within this forum, but i thought it would be a good idea to write down in one place what works on what and with what settings.

For instance:
Socom Navy Seals requires FW 2.0 and then UMD emulator.
GTA LCS won't work atall (we know why).

but there are others that people say work 100% but lock up on mine. It's probably just the settings in UMD emulator if so what are they or are they using game specific emulators?

Some i am having problems with:

Colin Mcrae Rally 2006. Locks up at "loading"
Exit and Pursuit Force. Locks the PSP after selecting with emulator.

The following settings for UMD emulator V8.0c work for most backups currently on the market:

CPU/Bus speed : 333/166 mhz
Iso emulation mode : copy load
Disctype Iso : Game
Disctype Umd : Game
Updater Icon : ORIGINAL
Use boot.bin : ON
Regioncode Override : ON
Regioncode game/video/audio : REGIONFREE
Flash0 emulation : ON
Flash1 emulation : OFF

I don't know if anyone else is using one of these but i use a Palm Square OTG hard disk, 20GB and for £90.It's very small 6x7cm, has it's own rechargabe battery and an LCD display that lets you drag over all your games, movies etc to the PSP while on the go. So you can dump all your backups and forget about carrying more than one UMD. Copies over in about 50 seconds your average game or movie (600MB).

Dude are serious, ive been playing GTA and Socom all day on my psp v1.5...
