The SSID is the name of the wireless connection your trying to connect to.

I have a linksys wireless G router as well,
SSID is set at the web address where your web access settings are stored (linksy).
You give your router (wireless network) a name and also configure encryption settings, etc.
The web address you need to go to, to setup the router is in the booklet. ( I trust you have encrypted your wireless access point
already?)
Once you have that setup, enter the settings in the PSP network settings.

See what web address is in your manual for setting up the web based access settings.

Thanks, but I allready know that. I had to forward ports before.
I just dont know what to set up.
There has got to be a better guide, every where I go it just says about setting up the PSP.
I know there is atleast 10 other threads on this site about this but they just aint helping.
Maybe the WLAN switch on my PSP is broke.
My router even has that one button easy setup I even tryed that.
I just got GTA running on 1.5 that was simple.(how much harder can this be) WTF

ok after hours of reading I found some other people with the same problem one had to say this;
i just updated my psp to version 2.50 and as soon as the update finished, everything seems to be working fine, but i always get the "wlan switch is turned off" message even though it is switched on... it all started after the update... what should i do?

So something funny is going on. I only tryed to go online after I downgraded to a 1.50.
I guess I will update to 2.00 and see if it works.
then back to 1.50 so I can run My iso's.
I dont no what to do
