If your computer goes into idle i.e. "Back to your windows screen" while VOB BLANKER is processing a file this can cause the error you received also. If youe computer does and you can't be there to watch VOB complete it's process you may want to turn the feature off.

I've been using VobBlanker for 5 months and I've never seen or encountered any errors/issues with VobBlanker at all whatsoever.

Make sure you TURN OFF AnyDVD, DVD43 or other cracking engines while processing the VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker. It's for the best because if you had them running, then you're likely to end up with some kind of errors and or it will conflict with VobBlanker only.

Other things to look out is to disconnect from the net, disabled all anti-virus programs, shutdown other unnecessary running programs.

Good luck!!

About VobBlanker? Can you rip the DVD using this program or no? And after we have used DVDFabdevrypter, how do we kno which files to blank out or erase, etc?

You can't use VOB blanker to rip the files but once you've used DVD Fab Decrypter to rip the files to your Hard Drive.. Open VOB Blanker and the Ifo file and you can just process everything if you like.. It will fix anything that isn't structured correctly in the DVD.. or you can preview each file / Cell and if you see just a blank screen then it can be blanked out...

IMPORTANT: make sure you don't have other cracking engines running in the background like AnyDVD or DVD43 while you're "processing" the VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker. Because if you do, then it will conflict with VobBlanker and you may end up with some kind of errors or issues only. So my advise is to TURN THEM OFF.

Out of curiosity, what kind of movie are you trying to backup? At what mode did you used DVD Decrypter to rip the movie (i.e. Mode, ISO or Mode, File F)? VobBlanker needs the ripped VIDEO_TS.IFO file from your ripped movie, in order to process smoothly.

I suggest you rip the movie with the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter because Fengtao (the author of DVDIdle and DVDFAB Decrypter) updates DVDFAB Decrypter regularly, so it can rip any dvds/movies easily. Unless you're using "PgcEdit + PSL plugins + FixVTS", then you can use DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 to rip any dvds/movies flawlessly (this is my 2nd choice, I'll go with this route if DVDFAB Decrypter failed to rip only).

Just incase if you're curious to what I'm talking about when using VobBlanker. Below is a very quick (basic) guide on how to use VobBlanker. I did this for DOMINO, and yes... I ripped it with DVD Decrypter via MODE, File F and then process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker 2.1.1.0B1 (latest Beta version) within 5 minutes and it "processed" flawlessly. The only reason I want to process with VobBlanker is simply because I want to blank out any useless junks (fbi warnings, previews/trailers, etc., plus processing the file will correct all the bad sectors and or structures if there is/are any left over).

**NOTE: for this movie (DOMINO), I "blanked out" all the Previews/Trailers, those 3 annoying FBI Warnings, plus the Rating logo/preview. However, I did not show on this quick guide.

Again, to be honest, I have never seen/encountered any dvds/moives that "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker" can not handle, regardless if it's RipGuard or ARccOS. I've been using VobBlanker for 5 plus months and I've never experienced any issues while "processing" the VIDEO_TS.IFO file through VobBlanker whatsoever. So far VobBlanker has never let me down.

Good luck!!

@mazster

You're welcome. Glad I could help, now enjoy all of your backups to the fullest.

Yes, it is true that those movies/titles you mentioned had protections, but they're nothing special. All I ever used is the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter to rip and have VobBlanker to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file and "blank out" any useless junks (i.e. fbi warnings, previews/trailers, etc.), plus VobBlanker can fix any bad sectors/structures or dummy cell flawlessly. With that being said, I can wait an extra 5 minutes for my file to be "processed" through VobBlanker.

Again, no AnyDVD, no DVD43, no glitches, no black screens, no chapters jumping, no freezing, no worries, etc.

Best of lucks to you and happy burning!!
