dphi931,
You either need to turn off the processes you really do not need or increase the ram to at least 512 and preferably 1gb. The other processes are eating the Ram up

dphi931,
Forgot to Welcome you to the forum. The processes that are running are programs that run unseen by you in the background. Hit Control+Alt+Del and now go to processes at the top and that is the programs ( usually exe files) you have running. Since I am not sure that you might turn off the wrong files I really would want you to increase your Ram as you only had 95mb of ram left to use. That really is extremely low but it can be done. Before you do a Movie turn off your Antivirus and firewall. Disconnect from the internet completely( Pull the plug). Increase Screensaver to 150 minutes so this does not start up. Make sure no other programs are running. Start the process and go get a cup of coffee as I do not want you to touch the computer until it finishes. See if that helps w/ the ram usage

The key is the software license, it unlocks the program for you so you can use it.
The link is actually two mirrors of the same program for downloading, pick whichever one you like.

dphi931,
Look in your Nero Logs as the serial number should be there. Also if Nero came w/ the computer and you have that disk or a recovery partition on the HD the key is there to

I was kind of hoping that you had not completely removed Nero but you can try this below. How did you get Nero in the first place. If the program is on the recovery Partition then the # is there.
Nero 6- My computer" , click C:/Program Files/Ahead/Nero/NeroHistory.log
Nero 7 users: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory.log

dphi931 ,
I think that has done us in. You can buy another copy or you can use DVDDecrypter or Imgburn to burn the iso you create

If you plan on using DVDshrink to autoburn with nero, download nero6 version 6.6.0.18 found here:
http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
Install version 6.6.0.18 and enter the serial# that came with your OEM version of nero (starts with 1A20-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx), other wise you're stuck with a trial version that will expire.
Some things to keep in mind before burning:
*********************************************************************
1) Make sure the burner's firmware is upto date, updates add additional media support/compatibility. You can check by clicking on the link provided, enter the burner's model# and click search, if an updated version is available just click on it to download the file. Run the file and follow the install directions.
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php
You can also locate/get it here:
http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GWA4040N
2) Set DVDshrink to create file sizes of 4300MB to keep from burning too close to the outer edge of the disk which can cause problems with some brands of media. In shrink goto: edit--preferences, in the preferences tab choose custom from the dropdown menu and enter a value of 4300.
3) Alway use the good stuff in terms of media brands, try verbatims, sony, or TYs. This will help ensure a good burn and a backup that will last.
4) Try and keep the write speed down to 4x (not greater than 8x), you can set this parameter/value in shrink when backing up.

dphi931,
If you found the disk just Install it but do not install INCD that is probably on the disk. After it is installed your serial # should be there or the serial Number is on the disk. Make a copy of it and now update Nero as johnl123 stated

It looks like DVDshrink can't handle the copy protection that's on the disk. Instead of DVDshrink, try ripping the movie to your HDD using DVDFab decrypter, then use shrink to open the files with and proceed as usual.
get it here:
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm
here's a guide on use (If needed):
http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvdfab_decrypter.php
If shrink gives you a problem with opening the files produced by DVDFab decrypter then you'll need to use VobBlanker to get the job done. VobBlanker will correct any file structure porblems created by the copy protection, once corrected DVDshrink will have no problems with opening the files and processing them as instructed by you.
Once DVDFab has ripped the files to your HDD, you'll now need to process them thru VobBlanker, VobBlanker will create a new set of files corrected of structural problems that you'll need to also store on your HDD;
NOTE: Create a folder on your desktop and give it the name of the movie your backing up...ie. Flightplan_movie..., next create another folder inside that one and name it VIDEO_TS, this is where you'll direct VobBlanker to store the files it creates in.
Run DVDshrink once VobBlanker is done and open the files created by Blanker (use open files tab), once shrink imports the files you can proceed a usual with your backup.
get vobblanker here:
http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm
