I backed up Walk the line, Pride and Pred., Ice Harvest and the problem is with the national championship game DVD between Texas and USC.

I tried DVDD with AnyDVD and then shrink with deep analysis and it backs it up .....but when i play it. it does not look really bad..but it does not look real good either. I can see some kind of squares and somekind of lines. and it seems like it keeps focusing in and out. I then used DVDFab along with Anydvd and then I used nero recode with deep analysis and burned with nero......Samething....it looks the same. what could be the freaking problem????? thanks in advance.

P.S. did anyone have any problems with ice harvest?

I did walk the line last night with AnyDVD behind DVDD and then Recode with all the quality enhancements enabled. Excellent end product.

How fast did you burn?
What brand discs did you use?
Main movie only or full backup?

Edit:

I then used DVDFab along with Anydvd
This shouldn't be necessary and in fact shouldn't be done, use only one or the other as they can muck with one another. Turn off AnyDVD if using DVDFab.

I agree with Locoeng. I backed up the entire disc of Walk the Line with Shrink, Decryptor and AnyDVD. It looks great. Obviously, in Shrink, I had the deep analysis and quality enhancements checked.

Why do some programs work for some people and not others on the same movie? I did Walk the line with shrink only and backed up to hard drive no problem.

There is nothing special encryption wise on Walk the Line, I think what we are looking at here is a compression or quality issue.

I just reloaded the movie into Recode, movie only, and before I removed the audio and subtitle, the compression was around 58%...very high.

because there are different encryptions for the same discs spread out all over the globe!

2SpeCops70 Those oil rich Texans have way more money than Hollywood so they can afford the better encryptions. Send the info to AnyDVD, they'll fix it. LOL

True...also, ppl in addition to not having enough in their arsenal to get the job done, sometimes have to much ammunition.

I think the compression rate was 68 or 72. I forget what it was for this, because I just did two movies. Either way, both are more than acceptable.
