I just got back my V9 and he did the romeo mod and emailed me and told me that the system was complete but, that 1 of the coils on the laser was really weak. He told me that it was reading PS2 game fine and it does, sometimes. I have tried different media first maxell, TY. I have cleaned the laser with AL and Q-tip. My backups either hang in the game or wont even load? Is there a way to test my laser that is simple and if it is bad, is there a link to a good site that sells them cheap and does anyone have any instructions for the V9-V10? I wouldnt care to try to readjust it but I can not find anything to go by! Also, I have a HDD coming today thats a 80gig seagate and I read that it will work in my modded PS2 w/dms4 pro se chip w/toxic 0.41. Do I put the games on the hard drive via the PS2 or do I have to connect it to my PC and just load the ISO file to HDD? Sorry so many questions I just havent had alot of time in the last week and when I searched I came up empty. PLEASE HELP ME! Thanks guys

you can check ebay

as for putting games on the HDD, you can do it both ways...the easier (and faster) way to do it is to just connect it straight up to your PC.

eBay for the laser? It is around $70 I can almost get a new one for that price. Is there any adjustments for the V9? As for the HDD, Do I have to have the ps2 disc (already burnt) or just a disc with ISO file on it? One thing that I noticed My burner is a sony dw-d26a and it wont burn the discs but at 1.5x, I dont know why but it should do them at 16X but, it wont. I am just in a world of a mess. I think that 1.5X is just too slow for the ps2, that may be the whole problem??? Any advise?

search Ebay Again...i saw some from $30-50....i don't really think you're going to get a good one for any less than that.

You can use Winhiip to install your back-ups to your PS2's HDD. This is the best solution in that you wont be using your laser and putting extra use to it, not to mention installing them with winhiip on your PC is more then twice as fast! Have a look here http://winhiip.ps2hd.com
