I just downloaded a ps2 game using torrents. Can someone help me put it on a dvd so I can play it on my ps2?? I looked around but it seems complicated

try looking at the stickies in the PS2 Backup section. I am sure there is a guide, and no it is not hard at all really.
Also i hope that you modded your PS2 or you will not be able to play it.
All you should need is a program called WinRAR to decompress the file you downloaded and give you the ISO file inside.
And a program that burns ISO files like Nero, Alcohol 120%, or DVD Decrypter

Wow this thread wasn't deleted or closed? Downloading PS2 games is uncool and should not be allowed to be disused. Back-up your originals!!!

Yeah BTW make sure to burn at the lowest speeds basicly half at what your media allows (burn at 4x for 8x media) and buy high quiality media like Taiyo Yuden know as TY's.

Sony is the best. Pansonic is crap and TDK has some good media and some bad media but don't take the chance. Sony has great media.

If I backup a ps2 disc on a cheap media, would that affect the gameplay b/c i backup up mine on this really cheap dvds and i have to restart my ps2 like 10 times before it reads it?

The cheap discs use cheap dye that your laser has a harder time reading, this causes lots of problems.
Either the game willnot work at all or it will have audio/video glitches or the roblem like you have.
Also over time it is more likely to burn out your laser faster as the laser has to work so much harder to read them.
Stick to Quality DVD's. The amount of those cheap one's you throw away due to things not working or being a bad copy would have paid for some quality media.

TY'S are the best,followed by verbatims,i never rate sony disk's myself,but its a matter of opinion.
but i will respond to the comment about panasonic disk's being crap....well this all depends on which ones you get,as panasonis make some excellent disk's,there are some which have the infamous TY02 dye.and work flawessly.
but like all manufacturer's,you need to know what to look for,and what dye they have.
if you stick to taiyo yuden's you cannot really go wrong

Yea the panasonics that i have access to are TY02 and they work perfect but cost a hell of a lot more than anything else, bout $8 each i think. Gunna stick to getting them online, so much cheaper.

they are about £7 for 25 in the uk
