I just got a new PC and now when I burn DVD's the buffer level changes from 89% to 94% and never stays steady like my old pc. My old pc wouls stay staedy at 99%. I think that the change in buffer levels is causing the burn to skip during play. Below is a history of my last burn which skipped on a few scences. Can someone please help me?

Nice PC BTW. You shouldn't have any problems once you get DMA enabled and the Nero updated. I don't like the "nvata" listed on the IDE buss. Try and update the DMA and see if it will let you. I think you have a Nvidia chipset and sometimes the option to change the the settings will not even show up. See if it does

It would also be a good idees not to burn so close to the edge of the disc.

Piss me off, and I Will ignore You!

DMA off is not going to affect your burn if you keep it at 4X. Your buffer level is going to fluctuate though. As long as it does not drop off completely it will be OK. I'd certainly use the guide Gwen recommeded though and see if it helps. Also I concur with her about the Nero version to use. I should have told you that.

Please let us know if you can get your DMA enabled with this method.
