I made a copy of hustle and flow the other day, played it back and I got some freeze ups.i took the same copy and put it in another player and it played fine. Now I took a different movie that I copied (stealth)and played it on the first machine and everything was fine.Could it be just the blank disk has a defect in it?

More than likely no. The quality of the blank media you use coupled with the burn speed and amount of compression applied are usually the cuplrits of compatability issues.
