This sucks I didn't know anything about the firmware issue when I bought my PSP. Is there any hope at all? Will this problem be fixed in the future, or is this just the way it is.

well the future, in my opionion...isn't very bright. there is some troubles that they are having with the downgrader, so not sure if they will ever get it running.

So is there nothing I can do with my 2.01 version. Like save movies on a DUO stick or hard drive. Or can I save PSP game to a memory stick or hard drive, or should I just trade my PSP in at my local gameing store for an older version.

No you can save whatever you want on the psp memory stick, music, game saves, movies.

the only thing that you can't do is put ISO's on the psp.

So if I had GTA on my PC I couldn't save the game on my PSP 2.01 but I could if i had a 2.00

Well there nothing stopping you putting GTA on your mem stick :) but you can't play it unless your psp is a 1.50

I wish Codeman74 honestly that would make my day not because i could play downloaded games (not that i would since am not cheap) but just to speed some of the more slower games (smackdown Vs Raw 2006) but then again i play all my Ps2 games on a hdd which speeds it up so maybe am just used to games that don't take like 10mins b4 you actually get to play it (again smackdown vs raw 2006).

yeah honestly, i refuse to learn about iso's untill i am able to use them.

I will help people out but if i can't use them why should they be able to.
