hi, i have a wireless router. my pc reieceves wireless connection.

i also have a xbox 360. i want to connect by xbox to my pc to go online. my pc has high speed ethernet port.

how do i configure this so my pc shares the internet connection?

you need to bridge your ethernet and wireless conections check this out

but everytime i try bridging error comes up:


u must have at least 2 lan or high speed connections which are not being used by internet sharing connection!!!

so any thing else i can do.

i am recieve the net to my pc but i just want to share it with my xbox using a ethernet cable and NOT directly from my router. so i want my pc to pass the internet on to my xbox

im not sure if you can actually do what you want to do there but...
(no guarantess here)
if your wireless connection shows up in network connections right click it and go to properties and select the advanced tab, from there you should be able to share the internet connection.

like i say no guarantees that it will work but i reckon it should

i did this yesturday, I had to go into wireless properties and allow connection shareing, then plug crossover cable, then i had to set ip to auto on xbox (i had it on manual befor) then I had to get DNS numbers from laptop and put them in xbox connection properties (run, type cmd, then type "ipconfig/all" look for dns numbers)
