hey i have a question im using nero 7 ultra and i am having a problem burning cd's. I can burn dvd's no problem on nero, i can even insert a cd and test the drive speed and that will work. But when i try and make an audio cd it says burning track one, and that timer comes up with like 10 minutes remaining but the light on my burning never comes on, it doesnt start to burn???? I dont get an error of any sort it just continues, i have let it go for about half hour with no luck, and also when i try to close and abort it, it just says aborting and never shuts down??? Any help would be great thanks

also i cant give you guys a log because it doesnt come up with an error it will just go for as long as i keep Nero running

ik i have had this problem several times myself with both cd and dvd a couple Q's what kinda media where you using and what are you try to burn i.e. mp3 cd, wma cd, cca or are you trying to like copy from one cd to another on the fly, also what speed are you going at....normally for me it is the speed &/or media cause even the best media has it's day....

the media isnt good its memorex but i have used it plenty of times with no problems till the other day it just started, also i have tried to put the speed to the lowest and fastest it just doesnt start to burn, im trying to burn an mp3 files to cd

Just a couple of things, your media as you already know is CRAP and more than likely is the cause of your problem.

The other is that some versions of Nero7 have been causing problems and the way to overcome that is to uninstall, run clean tool,http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

and then install this bug free version

i have downloading and used the clean tool but the link you sent me for the updated bug free version doesnt work. Can you resend it or tell me how to get it is it on the Nero site?
