Hello friend,

which is the best video settings for converting a DVD high quality (4GB) to a PSP movie file.

These are settings that Im setting on PSP movie Creator
Resolution 400x192
Video 700kbps,15fps
Audio CD Quality
Estimated filesize 600MB.

When I copy to a PSP drive(1GB)that 600MB file, and play the file, it doesn't go very fast, or it goes OK but you will feel that you head is spinning
p.s. if you pause the movie, the picture is more than perfect.

When I convert avi file thats OK,

Does anyone know those settings for converting a DVD 4 Gigs movie to PSP and have a great service.

Or if you could prefer any other software

Regrads

Hello mate, more than likely ur converting movies in the old SP MPEG4 fomat, AVC MPEG4 is alot better, the link in my sig will give u all what u need.

SP file name is M4Vxxxxx.MP4
AVC file name is MAQxxxxx.MP4

Also u might want to convert at 25.95fps.
AVC VIDEO BITRATE of 384KBPS AUDIO BITRATE of 128kbps.
I had alot of M4V movies and the pic wasnt great very blockie,
So i started to convert with AVC much better picture and sound at the same bitrates and it also takes up less space on your card.

Sudds

Does it matter what firmware you have (I have 1.50) because, I did a movie with the AVC setting and it says error when I try to view it on my PSP. So i had to go back to the SP setting.

Sry mate should ave said Versions 2.0 and below dont run AVC, S****E! Sry mate should ave said, Mpeg4 SP works with ur firmware, but the quality not as good as AVC and takes up more space on ur memory card....but....do you want to play DivX movies on ur 1.5? Well u can! (Or something similar) Its alot of messin around but worth it in the end, Pieceful did a guide on it here somewhere.

and here tis,
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/307095

Since then a new prog has come out , today actually

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19972

Before you could only convert single files now with this you can convert multi avis to pmp, i haent tried it yet but when i get the chance ill write up how to use it, until then the pmp muxer is the way to go.

UPDATE: Just used the program its very simple much easier then the steps before its a one step process.
It incorporates all the progs you had to use before into one,
I didnt touch any settings so i dont suggest you do yet,
Open Xvidprogram If your encoding from dvd just do it str8 from the disc, i have problems with IFOs for some reason.
If Avi file go to add file, if dvd go to add disc
then go to start
thats it.

Yeah i know it converts to AVC, i wrote the guide, that link isnt avalible anymore, click the link in my sig.
You,ll find the link for PSPvideo9 in the guide, pay close attention to the bracketed comments below it, if ya know what i mean ;)

Gigpa u might want to try Piecefull,s guide for the DIVX movies if u have a V1.50 psp.

As i thought, no good, them horrible black bars are present, if this software had crop options, pick your own audio and video bitrates, and maybe an audio booster...this would be top class software, as it is am stickin with PSPvideo9 and no black bars.

Dear sudds&brifa
Thanks for your comments

I did the convertion throught "InterVideo iVideoToGo for PSP" the latest version that I dowloaded from their site, (crack as well)

I did the convertion as a MAQxxxxx.MP4 file, but on that folder it creates only one file, rather than SP file creates M4Vxxxxx.MP4 and another file which is 4KB or so.

How do I run MAQ.....MP4 files, where do I store
why is just one file
