I was using Sonic MyDvd to create a DVD of all my videos from my camera but when I clicked on the 'burn to disk/make disk' button, after building menus and checking videos etc it came up with the error message 'DVDerr, -19005' along with a message telling me that the path file was invaid. This not being particularly useful, I'd like to know what the problem is and how to fix it please
I actually had similar problems way back when I used Sonic MyDvd. To be honest with you, I didn't really like this program. I now use DVD Studio to author and Nero to burn but I agree that DVD studio is a bit more expensive and complicated than MyDVD.
I'm not sure if MyDVD supports this, but if you can only author a DVD compilation with MyDVD and export it to a image file or DVD files, you could burn it with Nero instead.
I did some research on Sonic's website. It's kind of a mess and they describe DVDerr -xxxxx as DVD hardware errors. It's probably a problem with either your burner of the blank disc itself. How many times have you gotten this error message? Have you successfully burned DVD's with that same process? Also, which type of disc (brand) are you using?
If you want, you can look at Sonic's explanation yourself. This link has a few steps you can take to try and fix this.

Always use good quality blank media. Verbatim is always a good call. Don't be seduced by those 50-spindles you find in the $2.99 bin at your local car wash! :)
