I have to replace my laser in my V12 PS2, I bought a laser, but the guy that sent me my laser put a note in there saying to remove the solder protection before I install the laser. I have looked this over and am at a loss. I have no idea what he is talking about. Can some one tell me what he is talking about. Thanks

This item is Brand new with antistatic protection , you need to remove this bridge after you install the laser.

Yet another person screwed by the V12's craptacular laser... I feel bad for ya. But yea, if you want extra assurance, what steimy showed is correct.

if you have good soldering skills then you may want to look into getting a laser fix to prevent this from happening again.
I got one free when i bought my slim V12 with DMS4 Pro.
