I have some auto Service Library discs of my husbands, that he would like for me to back up for him--I had to download "WHIP" program to open in IE and Adobe Reader to view, but what kind of program do I need to just back this up on another dvd, since it isn't a movie, my Shrink cannot find a TS_folder?
I use Shrink and DVD Decrypter for my movies.

Well you should be able to Simply Copy the Files off of the DVD and then Burn the Files to a New DVD.....
You can also use a Program Like "ISO Buster" which will Rip the DVD as an ISO Image which you can then Burn back to DVD....
You can also Just use Nero and use the "DVD Copy" function.....
The only Problems I can Forsee is if these DVD"s are Dual Layered DVD"s(8.5gb) and you are Trying to Copy them to a Single Layered DVD(4.38gb) in which case you Might have to Split the Image in Half, and Hopefully these aren"t Copy Protected.....
Thank you--I tried Nero to copy the DVD and it seemed to work ok--said it did it successfully, but it won't play. I can open it and the files are there, but won't open. I've wasted a couple of dvds, on Nero, what is that other program? Is it free? Seems to all fit on a dvd--the files are there, just won't start. I'll look for that ISO Buster. tks, dmarie
It's improbbable that your problem has to do with the speed of the write since a data stream operates a different 'rhythm' than media. Something simple that might cause errors is making sure that the box for finalize dvd on the burn process is ticked. If that's not the problem, try using nero's own Imagedrive if it's in your release, and burn the dvd using the Image drive located in the recorder tab. You can then open up the image, and burn regularly back to another dvd. I wouldn't suggest anything else, like ISOBuster, if you don't understand exactly what an image file does...it could prove to be even more tedious than creating coasters. Nero is pretty user friendly when it comes to that, you can't go wrong.
I only have Nero StartSmart, and DVD Decrypter to back up movies.
I don't do data disks like these often, so all I have is what is in the Nero StartSmart. Has the tab to burn image, but don't know how to get it to the hard drive first--I'm a dummy here. He can use the disks, it's just more tasking to get files to open, since the start exe. won't work.Thank you so much for your help--guess I'll have to buy a Nero program soon, so that I have it for these things, and can learn a little more how to back up these disks.
