I asked CMC if they manufactured the Verbatims and they would not provide the information. That is why I was asking JoeRyan where he is getting his information.

As of yet I haven't understood where the info is coming from or how it can be verified.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation manufacturer's most of the GRADE A verbatim discs. These are discs that come in 50 packs usually not retail packed, they just have a white sticker with the info on the cakebox. The CMC Magnetics manufactured discs say VERBATIM but they are usually in 100 packs, some are retail made, like the ones from Sams Club and Walmart, these are basically Verbatim's GRADE B media. They work well, but not in everything. MCC coded discs are still the best. I have been getting them from http://www.mediamegamall.com and they all say MCC for the code, I bought some at Sams and they said CMC. The codes look so much alike!!! THOSE PUNKS!
