Hi stensland. I am sorry that this took so long...

You got some infections on your computer.

You also got two antivirus programs running on your computer. This may cause problems.

Before you start the cleaning process, do this.

Remove AVG Antivirus or Norton (I recommend that you remove AVG especially if you have a paid license to Norton)

Go to the Control Panel -> Add or remove programs and remove AVG OR Norton.

Cleaning instructions (Please follow these carefully and ask me if there is something that you don't understand)

1. Download AproposFix to your desktop -> http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/aproposfix.exe Do NOT RUN it yet.

Download also BFU to your desktop -> http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip

Unzip bfu.zip to your desktop

Run BFU.exe and click to "Open script url..." button. (blue/green button in the up-rigth corner)

And copy/paste this adress (the whole adress) to the field that appeared: http://metallica.geekstogo.com/collectora.bfu

And press Execute button.

2. Go to the Control Panel -> Add or remove programs -> Search these and remove if found

PalTalk, MyWay, Power Scan, Zango (there might be some letters after myway).

3. Run HijackThis and fix these entries (if found) (do a system scan only, check entries, close all other windows, press Fix checked).

4. Restart your computer to the safe mode (Press F8 button when computer is starting and choose the safe mode)

5. Make your hidden files visible:
->On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
->Click the View tab.
->Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

6. Delete these folders if found:

C:\Program Files\-->MyWay<--
C:\Program Files\Common Files\-->Paltalk<--
C:\Program Files\-->Paltalk<--
C:\Program Files\-->Zango<--
C:\Program Files\-->Power Scan<--

7. Use the Windows "search" function (make sure that you search from hidden files and folders and from system folders too)
Search for this and delete if found: palstart.exe

8. Run AproposFix.exe and unzip it to your desktop. Open folder AproposFix (on your desktop) and run RunThis.bat and follow the instructions.

When RunThis.bat is ready:

9. Empty the Recycle Bin

10. Make your hidden files invisible again:
->On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
->Click the View tab.
->Under Hidden files and folders, click Do not show hidden files and folders.

11. Restart your computer normally.

12. Update your SpySweeper and run a scan with it.

13. Post a new fresh HijackThis log and the AproposFix log (Inside of the aproposfix folder, named log.txt) and Spysweepers log to here so we can see if your computer is now clean.

Thanks for the info and the fix-resolutions, I'm in the middle of running Spy Sweeper, and there are "spy cookie found" items, should I also post these results, and if so, how do i go about finding the "log" for Spy Sweeper?

Alrighty, there's probably more to this than either of us realize, I'm thinking. But...

Hi, the Spysweeper automatically deletes those quarantined objects after 30 days.
You can change the amount of required days if you want.

Open Spysweeper -> Options -> Program Options ->Automatically Delete Items in Quarantine More than 30 Days Old.

Just lower the amount of those days if you want to get rid of those objects sooner.
