PS2 HDD to PC HDD

What I have is an old 40gig HDD that I used with my PC. I then formated it for the PS2. It worked fine, and still works fine with the PS2, but I want to use it for my PC again. My computer will not read the HDD unless I run WinHiip or HDL Dump. With those two programs I am able to read the content of the HDD, but I am not able to see the HDD in My Computer. Is there a way to reformat the drive for PC use again?

FDISK it.

windows does not recognize a PS2 master boot record, you'll have to use FDISK to delete that partition and recreate a DOS primary partition.
